Race Matters

Race Matters is Runnymede's news and comments site. It builds on the Runnymede Bulletin, published in 373 issues from 1969-2013, and you can contact us with possible contributions: info@runnymedetrust.org

Race is not a dirty word, but it has become one.  Discussions about racial inequality are often cut short by claims that we now live in a post-racial society, where racism no longer exists. Those who do speak out are accused of being perpetually oversensitive.

There is still widespread racial inequality in the UK.  Race Matters, Runnymede's news and comments site, equips you with analysis and data to tackle this. We offer a different perspective and provide a space where a diverse set of voices speak honestly about race. We offer comment on the latest race equality stories. We share original research on racial inequality in the UK, multimedia content and links to other resources.
