The Runnymede Trust, the UK’s leading race equality think tank, is seeking an Education Manager to join our policy team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping the organisation’s work on diversifying the English Literature and History curricula and advocating for teaching race migration and empire in schools.

We are looking for a member of the team, to continue supporting our work on anti-racism in education and supporting education and school systems to be more inclusive. This role will support the continued  work on promoting change and improvements in education and learning and the success of our award-winning Our Migration Story website in collaboration with the universities of Manchester and Cambridge in 2016, and of Lit in Colour, Penguin Books and the Runnymede Trust’s ground-breaking programme which supports UK schools to diversify the teaching of English literature.

This is a challenging role and requires an individual who is well organised, comfortable in different high-stake settings, and is able to combine an understanding of teachers, schools and education policy with an understanding of the changing debates on race and social justice.

This is a unique opportunity for you to make your mark on a future generation of students and to support them to learn about how migration, race and empire has shaped the UK.

Responsibilities and main duties:

As Education Manager, you’ll be leading and coordinating the Runnymede Trust’s work on diversifying the History and English curriculums, as well as supporting on our cross-curricula anti-racism work in schools and systems-level change.
