About role

As Director of Operations, you will be accountable for the Head of Finance, Programmes Officer, Office Manager and liaise with other operational functions across the team. This is a crucial role at the heart of the organisation and the post holder will be responsible for driving forward all aspects of Operations, HR, central infrastructure, Digital platforms and improvements, communications and compliance to ensure the smooth running of the organisation at all times.

Main duties

  • You will implement an operational plan to support the overall strategy for the Trust’s annual business plans.
  • You will provide financial management and ensure processes are compliant.
  • You will project manage and oversee Digital Projects, Digital Platforms and CRM Systems to support the operations of the organisation.
  • You will lead and produce strategies for Operations, Finance and HR within the organisation such as the equality, diversity and inclusion strategy.
  • You will use your fresh perspective to assess risks to The Runnymede Charity.
  • You will creatively lead on the full Digital Transformation of The Runnymede Trust’s programmes and platforms (integrated finance, IT, web, and HR).
  • You will be IT savvy with managing the development of all IT systems and infrastructure, IT problem solving and overseeing communications.
  • You will be compassionate and professional with supporting the focus on wellbeing and care for all staff.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a past role of developing and implementing systems designed to improve the effectiveness and impact of an organisation and will be able to demonstrate past achievements. The Director of Operations is to be responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s IT, Data and Finance systems and internal processes are fit for purpose and create the best working environment for our staff, trustees and beneficiaries.
