Dr Laurence Lessard-Phillips, who was a speaker at our Redefining Integration event is an academic specialising in integration and is the author of Exploring the Dimensionality of Ethnic Minority Adaption in Britain: An Analysis across Ethnic and Generational Lines.

Given that ‘integration’ is yet to be conclusively defined – or as Laurence puts it “a concept that has no clear national and local policy framework” – it is unsurprising that a key component of discussionis often what we understand by it.
