Teachers' Corner

Throughout 2003 and 2004, Runnymede worked with groups of young people across the UK to find out their views on the past, present and future of multi-ethnic Britain. This resulted in the 'This is Where I live' Virtual Exhibition and Teaching Guide which was launched in early 2005 and is available free of charge to schools and youth clubs looking to stimulate discussion with the 11 to 18 age group. The virtual exhibition is in CD-ROM format and can be used as a series of short films to be incorporated into lessons and activities. The Teacher's Guidance notes are to be used in conjunction with the CD-ROM and will be particularly useful for Citizenship teaching in KS3 and KS4.
