Equal rights for all? The Magna Carta & the first Race Relations Act

29 July 2015

The Magna Carta is a charter sealed at Runnymede, from which the Trust takes its name. As we reflect on this historic moment in the development of human rights and on the anniversary of the first legislation to address racial discrimination, we will ask what more can be done to ensure equal rights for all and make race equality a reality in 2015 and beyond.

Guest speakers will include the Honourable Mr Justice Singh, Sir Geoffrey Bindman QC, Baroness Usha Prashar, Professor Colm O'Cinneide, Professor Claire Alexander, Dr Will Pettigrew, Callton Young OBE, Professor Gus John and Professor Malcolm Chase.

The event is free and will take place in central London, beginning at 10am.
