Northern Ireland Youth Summit
In 2006 two Youth Summits were held at the home of the Northern Ireland Assembly, Stormont followed by on in Armagh.
Both events aimed to provide a space for young people of ethnic minority backgrounds to voice their concerns on race equality policy, and increase their understanding of the role of government and communities in tackling racisms.
A short film was created courtesy of NVTV which outlined the purpose of the NI Racial Equality Strategy and the Youth Summit, as well as presenting personal stories from young people on their experiences and perceptions of racism and their recommendations for future anti-racism work.
