• Police powers are used proportionately to tackle crime and protect citizens
• Former offenders are rehabilitated after punishment and enabled to make a positive contribution to society
• The criminal justice workforce reflects the best talent from all communities in our society
• All citizens are confident that policing and criminal justice systems are fair and accountable

Work

• Recruitment, progression and exit from employment is based on merit with access to justice available for those unfairly discriminated against
• Independent careers advice and guidance is appropriate and effective at meeting the needs of all in our society

• All areas of the labour market are open to the best talent from all communities

Culture and Media

• Print and broadcast media capture and reflect the diverse experiences which contribute to our society
