Outcomes

Below we have listed some of the outcomes we are seeking to crate through the campaign. all of which will get us closer to our vision of a society free from racism.

Gather
  • 50,000 individuals and 15,000 organisations take action within their own sphere of influence to end racism in a generation
  • £200,000 a year will be raised to tackle racism from individuals and businesses
Inspire
  • 65,000 pledges will articulate the need and actions that improve race relations and address ethnic inequalites
Inform
  • 300,000 unique visitors to the campaign websites are better informed about racism in the UK and the most effective solutions to tackle it
Connect
  • At least 50 new action-oriented networks of people concerned about race equality will be established (by region or interest area)
  • 1500 voluntary sector organisations will improve their practice around tackling racism leading to improved outcomes for minority ethnic communities
Ideas
  • A database of over 200 ideas and solutions to persistent problems of racial inequality will be created leading to improved knowledege about effective practices
  • 500 innovations in practice will lead to improved outcomes for minority ethnic communities 
Tools
  • 25,000 organisations and/or individuals will have used tools and resources from the site to improve efforts to tackle racism
Focus
  • Policy and practice which act as barriers to race equality will be identified and at least 6 new coalitions for action will be successful in reducing these barriers
Target
  • Legislation and policy development will take account of race equality as debate about the issue in parliaments will have increased by 200%
  • 15,000 organisations will have set public priorities to address racial inequality and 12000 will have made and reported progress in achieving their goals
Amplify
  • Public better informed about challenges of racial inequality through the increased and improved coverage of key persistent racial inequalities
  • More people will be aware of racial inequality through the 50,000 individuals/organisations who will be sharing information with their networks about how to eliminate racism in our society
Evaluate
  • We will better understand both what works in eliminating racial inequality, and what issues are the most pressing for those concerned with addressing racial inequality
