Northern Ireland Working Together

Runnymede has put together the 'Working Together' project with Northern Ireland's Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) and the Northern Ireland Council of Ethnic Minorities (NICEM). This project has aimed to ensure that Northern Ireland's race equality strategy and action plans deliver real change for the people of Northern Ireland.

For this, we have been working with government departments, other statutory bodies, the voluntary and community sectors, and BME community organisations. Together we have held seminars, debates and conferences to share ideas and experiences, think about what government and voluntary sectors can do together to promote race equality, and to support better policy-making and practice.

We hope through our input to be able to help improve the planning around race equality and help policymakers and community organisations work together in making race equality a reality for the people of Northern Ireland.
