Belonging on the BBC
Belonging, a creative video project designed to enable young people explore themes around migration, identities and the making of new communities, can now be viewed on the BBC London website. BBC London has chosen 3 of the London Newham films to showcase on its website but all 43 fims can be viewed by clicking here.
The associated teaching materials and lesson plans are also now available for free download. Teachers can choose to download the full booklet or to view and download the lesson plans by subject from the Teachers' Corner section of the website.
Devised by Manifesta in association with the Runnymede Trust, the project organized a series of video workshops in suburban locations with young people from a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds - in London (Newham), Lisbon (Casal da Boba) and Paris (20th arrondissement).
