Government ministers to speak at Runnymede conference


Schools Minister Jim Knight MP and Minister for Community Cohesion, Parmjit Dhanda MP will both speak at a landmark Runnymede conference 'Promoting Community Cohesion through Schools'. The conference held in London on 26th November 2007 will also include speeches and workshops from:

  • Trevor Phillips, Chair of the new Equalities and Human Rights Commission,
  • Andrew Stunnel MP Lib Dem spokesman on cohesion,
  • Baroness Sayeeda Warsi Conservative Party lead on cohesion,
  • Journalists Sarfraz Manzoor and Tony Sewell,
  • Tony Breslin Chief Executive of the Citizenship Foundation,
  • Steve Sinnot, General Secretary of the NUT,
  • Raja Miah of Peacemaker,
  • And Ralph Taberrer, Director General of School, DCSF
