As the latest Census data highlights the diversity of the UK, Runnymede’s head of policy Dr Omar Khan has analysed the growth of the ethnic minority population.
Writing on Runnymede’s blog, Dr Khan highlights the dispersal of ethnic minorities throughout the country, as well as the rise in the numbers of those identifying as ‘Mixed Race’.
The 2011 Census data is also particularly significant due to the recording of two new categories – Gypsy and Traveller, and Arab.
