As the latest Census data highlights the diversity of the UK, Runnymedeâ€™s head of policy Dr Omar Khan has analysed the growth of the ethnic minority population.
Writing on Runnymedeâ€™s blog, Dr Khan highlights the dispersal of ethnic minorities throughout the country, as well as the rise in the numbers of those identifying as â€˜Mixed Raceâ€™.
The 2011 Census data is also particularly significant due to the recording of two new categories â€“ Gypsy and Traveller, and Arab.
