ESRC Public Policy Seminar: Painting a portrait of multi-ethnic Britain with Rt Hon. David Willetts MP, Minister for Universities and Science

The aim of the seminar is to paint a portrait of multi-ethnic Britain using the findings from the world’s largest household panel survey- Understanding Society – and its uniquely large sample of ethnic minority groups.
The seminar is particularly aimed at seminar for senior government analysts, policymakers, and relevant civil society organisations.
The Rt Hon David Willetts MP, Minister for Universities and Science, will introduce the seminar which will include speakers on a range of questions relating to ethnicity including: How diverse is the UK? How much do immigrants move around after arriving in the UK? How much money is sent overseas from the UK to friends and family? What are people’s experiences of racial discrimination in the workplace?

A light lunch will be available from 12.30pm and the seminar will start at 1.00pm. The seminar will be as interactive as possible including a question and answer session at the end.
