More needs to be done to meet the needs of ethnic minority voters, new film argues
10 February 2012
A new film commissioned by the Runnymede Trust highlights that political parties need to do more to meet the concerns of ethnic minority voters.
The film, called “the Black Vote” and made by Feedback Films, also highlights that ethnic minorities are far more likely to vote Labour than Conservative or Liberal Democrat.
The findings highlighting in the film are based on the Ethnic Minority British Election Study (EMBES), the largest and most authoritative study of ethnic minority voting behaviour and political integration ever conducted in Britain.
A briefing with more details on the study has also been published alongside the film.
