Runnymede has written a strong response to the government's proposals for legislation on immigration announced this week (14 May). The government has proposed a radical overhaul of immigration and citizenship policy which Runnymede believes will violate human rights in the UK as well as discriminate unfairly against minority ethnic people, women, people with disabilities and LGBT people.
