The racial wealth gap is not just an American problem

"Ethnic minorities in the United Kingdom also lag behind white people in accumulating wealth," writes Runnymede's head of policy research, Omar Khan, in a blog post for Reuters.
The article highlights recent research from our financial inclusion team, which found that 60 per cent of black and Asian households have no savings at all.
Omar also points out the particular importance of asset-holding as compared to other measurements of wealth.
