Runnymede Lectures

The Runnymede Trust launched a series of lectures to commemorate its 20th anniversary. Towards Racial Equality: The Runnymede Trust and the struggle for racial equality in Britain, featured a number of speakers including Dipak Nanday, Nicholas Deakin, Anne Owers, Bob Hepple, Sylvia Denman, Kum Kum Bhavnani, Usha Prashar, Errol Lawrence, Amina Mama and Jim Rose. Topics covered included: Racial Equality 1968-1988: What Progress?; Racial Equality: What Has the Law Achieved?; Education: the Challenge of Diversity; What Hope For the Inner City?; Public Housing: The Reporduction of Inequality; Towards Racial Equality? Tomorrow's Agenda.
