Trade Union Charter for Black Workers

TUC, London © Steve CadmanIn June 1981, the TUC launched a campaign to improve the position of black workers through the publication of a 'black workers' charter' which, among other demands, called on unions to remove barriers preventing black workers from reaching union office and asked unions to ensure that their organisations acted to counter racialist propaganda.
