Edited by Robin Frampton

Liberal Democrat equalities spokesperson Lynne Featherstone MP outlines her vision of how to tackle race inequality in the UK in the second in our Runnymede Platform series. In her paper Featherstone criticises the government for poor management of the Equality and Human Rights Commission and calls for 'Representative Action' to tackle discrimination.

The report also includes responses from academics Professor Harry Goulbourne of London South Bank University and Dr Claire Alexander of the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Runnymede Platform promotes free and exploratory thinking on race, ethnicity and equality. The facts presented and views expressed in speeches and essays in the series are, however, those of the individual authors and not necessarily those of Runnymede.
