Runnymede is looking to commission a researcher to undertake a mapping of informational material about stop and search, particularly that which is aimed at young people, for the StopWatch action group.
The research will focus on the ‘Know your Rights’ campaign - set up to help the public understand their rights when stopped and/or searched by the police.
The successful consultant will have 2 months to deliver a comprehensive 30 page report detailing the materials reviewed, their strengths and weaknesses and how well they fulfil their aim of informing young people of their rights. The report will draw conclusions, flag gaps in provision and highlight promising practices.
The consultant will be paid a flat rate of £3000 (inclusive of VAT) upon satisfactory completion of the project.
